Job Description-Sr. Business Analyst (Healthcare)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in healthcare and clinical operations to bridge the gap between business needs, clinical workflows, and technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in clinical environments (hospital, EHR/EMR, or healthcare product implementation) and demonstrate expertise in analyzing, documenting, and translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Act as a strategic partner in driving digital health innovations, telemedicine solutions, and healthcare data analytics initiatives.
- Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and workflow optimization to enhance efficiency in healthcare operations and systems.
- Translate complex business needs into clear functional and technical specifications for development teams.
- Ensure solutions are aligned with healthcare compliance standards (HIPAA, HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT, etc.).
- Support EHR/EMR implementations, healthcare analytics, claims processing systems, and patient management solutions.
- Work with QA teams to design and execute test plans, UAT, and validation processes.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and JAD sessions to ensure requirements clarity and alignment.
- Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and ROI models for healthcare IT initiatives.
- Provide post-implementation support, training, and documentation to ensure adoption and sustainability.
- Partner with stakeholders, business users, and leadership teams to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Mentor and guide junior BAs, contributing to best practices and BA standards.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Lead requirement workshops, JAD sessions, and stakeholder interviews.
- Collaborate with development, testing, and project management teams to ensure requirements traceability and delivery.
- Drive process mapping, gap analysis, and business process re-engineering for efficiency and optimization.
- Act as a Product Owner/SME in Agile projects, supporting sprint planning, backlog refinement, and user acceptance testing.
- Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, Use Cases, Wireframes, Workflow Diagrams, and Data Models.
- Provide domain expertise and thought leadership in [insert relevant industry: BFSI, Retail, IT, Healthcare, etc.].
- Conduct impact analysis, risk assessment, and change management for projects.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of healthcare business processes, payer-provider systems, and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in requirements elicitation techniques (interviews, workshops, surveys, observation).
- Experience with EHR/EMR systems, claims processing, patient management systems, and healthcare BI tools.
- Skilled in process modeling tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Bizagi) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Expertise in requirement elicitation techniques (interviews, workshops, surveys, prototyping).
- Proficiency with BA tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Balsamiq, Lucidchart, Excel, SQL.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, system design, data flow diagrams, and testing processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
