Sr Business Analyst - Airport Technology Systems

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst - Airport Business Operations Systems to oversee the implementation, integration, and operational management of mission-critical airport systems across terminal operations, airfield operations, and baggage handling. This role is pivotal in delivering and maintaining technologies that ensure safe, efficient, and seamless airport operations, while driving the adoption of AI and ML-powered capabilities for smarter decision-making and optimized passenger flows.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Implementation (30%)

• Lead the design, deployment, and integration of airport systems including:
• Terminal: CUTE/CUPPS, CUSS, FIDS, BRS, Security Screening
• Airfield: AODB, RMS, Surface Movement, Surveillance, GMS
• Baggage: BHS, SCADA, BRS, Track & Trace
• Define technical and operational requirements aligned with strategic goals and safety standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, consultants, and vendors to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure 24/7 reliability and performance of operational systems.
• Develop SOPs, incident response protocols, and business continuity strategies.
• Coordinate with AOCC, IT, baggage, and airside teams for integrated situational awareness.

Technology & Systems Leadership

• Drive innovation through AI/ML, predictive analytics, and automation.
• Lead digital transformation initiatives including cloud-based architectures and intelligent systems.
• Ensure system interoperability across security, passenger services, baggage, and flight operations.
• Manage lifecycle upgrades, migrations, and compliance with cybersecurity frameworks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, or Aviation Management (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years in airport systems or aviation IT, with leadership in large-scale implementations.
• Deep expertise in:
• Terminal systems (CUTE/CUPPS, CUSS, FIDS, BRS)
• Airfield systems (AODB, RMS, Surveillance)
• Baggage systems (BHS, SCADA, BRS)
• Experience with AI/ML-enabled systems and biometric integrations.
• Familiarity with IATA, ICAO, ACI standards and ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
• Strong project management, vendor management, and cross-functional leadership.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
