Responsibilities - What you’ll do What you will do:
  • Gather and track claims and supporting documentation needed for the determination of Tort Victim's Compensation and Line of Duty Benefits; distribution of determinations and benefit payments
  • Gather and track claims and supporting documentation, and make determinations for Second Injury Fund Physical Rehabilitation Benefits
  • Gather and track applications and make determinations for Administrative Rulings
  • Promptly respond to phone calls and email inquiries on behalf of the Division
  • Support the Division’s Modernization efforts
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications - All you need for success

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in entry-level claims processing

  • Great attention to detail, ability to perform mathematical calculations, good organizational skills, and great communication skills
  • Ability to review documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to apply and interpret Missouri statutes Chapters 537 and 287 and Missouri Regulations
  • Ability to evaluate medical records and expert reports
  • Ability to apply agency policies and procedures
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and stakeholders
  • Ability to complete assignments accurately within specified timeframes
  • Ability to work independently and remain calm when dealing with stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with expertise in Excel
  • Working knowledge of Adobe DC
