About the role

As a Sr. Cloud & AI Architect – Generative AI, you will make an impact by leading the design and delivery of secure, scalable, enterprise‑grade AI solutions that leverage large language models (LLMs) to transform search, automation, and user experiences. You will be a valued member of a cross‑functional engineering team and work closely with product, data, and cloud platform stakeholders to deliver innovative, production‑ready solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of cloud‑native, scalable enterprise solutions leveraging LLMs from providers such as Google and OpenAI

  • Build and deploy applications using vector databases, embeddings, and frameworks such as LangChain and LangGraph

  • Design and implement Agentic AI solutions and platform services that support intelligent workflows and orchestration

  • Develop and maintain cloud‑based solutions that integrate generative AI to enhance enterprise search and user experience

  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to engineering teams

  • Ensure security, compliance, and data protection best practices when working with sensitive and regulated data

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production and performance issues using logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Azure Application Insights

  • Collaborate on system design within established architectural frameworks and support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Stay current with emerging trends in cloud platforms, AI technologies, and generative AI advancements

What you need to have to be considered:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field

  • 6–8+ years of professional experience designing and delivering AI‑driven or cloud‑based solutions

  • Strong proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch

  • Hands‑on experience with large language models, generative AI, and natural language processing

  • Experience building solutions using LangChain, LangGraph, vector databases, and text embeddings

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including services such as:

    • Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure Service Bus, Logic Apps
    • Azure Storage, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Cognitive Services
    • Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Data Lake, and caching technologies
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure design across private and public cloud environments

  • Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability tools in production environments

These will help you stand out:

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform services in addition to Azure

  • Hands‑on experience designing and deploying Agentic AI solutions at scale

  • Strong architectural documentation skills and familiarity with security standards and compliance frameworks

  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders

  • Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring engineers and guiding technical teams

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until April 30, 2026.

The annual salary for this position is between $ 130,000 - $ 150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
