Sr Contract Manager

Job Purpose:

To manage and oversee contract management activities by leading contract reviews, supporting negotiations, managing contractual risks and strengthening contract governance across projects and operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end contract management for assigned projects or categories from contract drafting to closure.
  • Review and negotiate commercial and contractual terms with vendors, contractors and partners.
  • Identify, assess and manage contractual risks, deviations and exposure, etc. and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Provide contract interpretation and advisory support to procurement, project, finance and legal teams.
  • Manage variations, claims, disputes and extensions in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure contracts are aligned with approved commercial strategies, risk appetite and governance frameworks.
  • Review contract performance, compliance with obligations and adherence to timelines and milestones.
  • Support resolution of disputes through structured documentation, contractual position papers and negotiations.
  • Strengthen contract processes, templates and controls to improve consistency and risk management.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / PG in Management.
  • 5-10 years for Engineering / 5-7 years for Engineering + MBA of experience in contract management, preferably in project-based or capital-intensive environments.
  • Strong work ethic, Strong understanding of commercial terms, risk clauses, claims management and contract negotiations.
  • Experience working closely with legal, procurement, finance and project teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management, judgement and problem-solving skills.
