The Senior Counsel, Operations supports the Department's functions including contract development, review and negotiation, commercial transactions support, regulatory compliance, process improvements, general legal functions which may include risk management activities, and other duties as designated. The Senior Counsel, Operations directly advises and supports staff in operational areas with regard to contracting and transactional matters. An essential element of all functions will to be to stay up-to-date on applicable laws and regulatory requirements for the areas of responsibility through self-study, and participation and/or attendance in ongoing education or seminars.
