Position Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist with strong expertise in the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), MySQL query optimization, and big data analytics. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical abilities and technical depth to manage complex datasets, develop scalable data pipelines, and extract meaningful insights that drive strategic business decisions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust data solutions, enhance reporting infrastructure, and lead data-driven initiatives that contribute to organizational growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and transform structured and unstructured data from multiple sources including logs, APIs, and databases.
• Design, implement, and maintain reliable data pipelines using Logstash and other ETL tools to feed into Elasticsearch.
• Develop and manage Kibana dashboards for real-time analytics, monitoring, and visualization.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of large datasets to identify patterns, trends, anomalies, and actionable business insights.
• Write and optimize advanced MySQL queries to support analytical reporting and decision-making.
• Partner with business stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and analytical objectives aligned with company goals.
• Contribute to machine learning or predictive analytics projects where applicable.
• Document data processes, pipelines, and insights to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to overall data governance and quality initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a similar technical position.
• Proven hands-on experience with the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) in production environments.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL with strong experience in MySQL optimization for large-scale queries.
• Proficient in Python or R for data analysis and automation.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
• Excellent analytical thinking and the ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with big data tools such as Apache Spark or Hadoop.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (especially AWS) and their data/log management services.
• Exposure to machine learning and predictive modeling techniques.
• Domain knowledge in finance, healthcare, e-commerce, or SaaS industries (preferred but not mandatory).
