Position Related

We are looking for a highly experienced and visionary Data Architect to help in the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-wide data architecture solutions. You will play a critical role in building scalable, secure, and high-performance data systems that empower innovation and business growth across Telenor Shared Services.

Goals

Implement required data architecture for larger Data platform to support decision-making and innovation

Establish a unified data vision across departments and systems

Promote data-driven culture by enabling access to high-quality, trusted data

Your typical day at work

• Lead the end-to-end design of data architecture across diverse platforms and business domains to build data products with focus on Data Mesh Architecture
• Develop enterprise data models, data flow diagrams, and conceptual/logical/physical data designs.
• Architect and implement data integration, transformation, and migration solutions.
• Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to define and implement strategic data roadmaps.
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance across all data assets.
• Drive adoption of modern data platforms including cloud data warehouses, lakes, and real-time processing systems.
• Provide architectural guidance for data lake, data warehouse, and MDM implementations.
• Maintain documentation of data architecture, standards, and best practices.

Eligibility Criteria

Experience and Qualification:

• Master’s degree in data science, Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data solutions.
• Proven hands-on experience with all major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT, big data technologies, and real-time processing.
• Deep familiarity with modern tools like Snowflake, Databricks, Apache Spark, Kafka, etc.
• Strong knowledge of data security, privacy, and governance frameworks.

Functional Skills / Knowledge Areas

• Certifications in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud data tracks are a strong plus.
• Experience in telco, finance, or large-scale enterprise environments.
• Leadership in cloud migration or greenfield data platform initiatives.
