Summary of Primary Responsibilities:
Provide design & drafting services which include detailed design layouts of P&IDs and orthographic plans, sections and details in both 2D and 3D and back-modeling of laser scans. Assign work to drafting & oversee completion of assigned work in a timely manner Interpret and apply SPR specifications and current piping codes to drawings. Prepare revisions to technical baseline drawings to reflect as-built conditions Research associated drawings to determine if they are affected by revisions to other drawings and create change notices (CNs) to update those as well Provide on-site field work and create field sketches Research and maintain drawings in SPR document management system Create work instructions and provide training assistance to drafting personnel Checking duties include: Check drafting work for accuracy. Be well-versed and knowledgeable in all drafting disciplines. Check completed work against red-lines and CNs, ensuring a high level of accuracy and continuity between drawings. Make sure completed work adheres to SPR standards and make sure all affected drawings are updated. Provide input into creation of SPR standards & symbols Prepare daily & weekly reports to reflect work status

REQUIRED: High School diploma or equivalent and 15+ years Autocad experience. Designer should have strong background in mechanical/piping discipline for the oil & petrochemical industry and experience in checking drawings per established standards. Designer should have experience in the current release of Autocad 2D / 3D Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & P&ID packages. Experience with Excel DESIRED: Associates/ Vo Tech degree in Drafting or Engineering Graphics. Experience with SAP Document Mgt. system, Sharepoint
