POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Global Color designer works with the Performance Run footwear team. This position creates innovative and market right footwear products that support ASICS’ global brand directive. This position defines and executes color application for seasonal initiatives based on brand and category design direction. Utilize trends, consumer insights, and merchandising skills to create color stories that appeal to ASICS’ target consumer.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position has one supervisory responsibility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design color application and silo strategy for pinnacle items. Leads color application strategy for a pinnacle silo.
- Create color and materials for intermediate to complex packs.
- Collaborates with Color Manager to perform trend research, seasonal storytelling, color selection, and combination selection. Leads palette creation for some silos.
- Identifies different consumer types with different buying behaviors and product preferences. Creates consumer analysis on their assigned silo.
- Review all samples at key product check points for accuracy and market viability. Align with counterparts in design, PM, development, and merchandising.
- Submit all relevant information needed for the development process. Adhere to calendar/timeline deadline for timely completion of product.
- Mentor entry level designers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Advanced understanding of footwear construction.
- Familiar with product manufacturing processes including materials/fabrics, plastics/pigments.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (expert in Illustrator)
- Strong verbal written and communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office SuiteComfort working in a hybrid-based environment, coming into the office 2 days/week.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 5-7 years of design industry professional experience. Footwear experience required.
- Supervisor experience a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S) in fine art, industrial design, graphic design, textile design, fashion & apparel design, or equivalent work experience.

SALARY RANGE: $110,000 - $125,000, Actual base pay will vary based on factors such as but not limited to relevent experience, equitable pay practices and time in position.
