The Ignition Developer will design, develop, and customize applications on the Ignition platform to create APM, LMIS, MES, and CMMS solutions and data visualization tools. This role involves building integrations with PLCs, OPC UA devices, and enterprise systems while ensuring effective reporting and manufacturing analytics. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience from automotive manufacturing environments and a strong grasp of production metrics and data-driven reporting.

You Will:

Develop and customize Ignition applications for the Ignition portfolio, including LMIS, APM, MES, CMMS, data visualization dashboards, and reports using Ignition modules (Perspective, IO Gateway, Sepasoft, Vision, Reports).
Analyze requirements from Ignition Architects and Project Managers and develop applications with templates and themes.
Create reusable components and libraries to streamline future development efforts.
Integrate Ignition applications with PLCs, OPC UA devices, and other industrial equipment.
Develop interfaces for seamless communication with SQL databases and enterprise systems (e.g., ERP/MES/SAP/Garage/Salesforce).
Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize system performance.
Perform testing, debugging, and performance tuning of developed applications and interfaces to ensure reliability and accuracy.
Collaborate with system architects and engineers during deployment and configuration phases.
Provide post-deployment support and maintain comprehensive documentation of application designs and integration processes.

You Bring:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in development with the Ignition platform and its core modules.
Strong understanding of SCADA/HMI systems and industrial automation protocols (e.g., OPC/UA, Modbus).
Proven experience in SAP integrations, REST API connectivity, and SQL query development.
Hands-on experience with scripting languages (Python, Java) used in Ignition development.
Experience writing SQL queries and a strong understanding of database concepts (DDL, DML, DCL, Indexing, Join, Subquery, Union, Order By, Group By).
Proficient knowledge of computer programming (SQL, OPC, HTML, Java, Python, C#, Visual Basic).
Strong understanding of PLC programming: Rockwell and Siemens.
Strong understanding of HMI development
