Sr. DevOps Engineer

NKU Technologies is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD processes. The ideal candidate should have proven expertise in AWS and Azure, strong team leadership capabilities, and presales experience to support solution design and client engagements.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
• Manage and optimize AWS and Azure environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost-efficiency.
• Lead a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
• Collaborate with the presales team to design cloud architecture solutions, prepare technical proposals, and support client meetings and demos.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Maintain and enhance Jenkins pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
• Oversee containerization processes, including Docker file definitions and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Develop automation scripts using Python or Shell scripting to streamline operational tasks.
• Manage version control systems such as Git and Bitbucket, ensuring effective branching and deployment strategies.
• Monitor infrastructure and application performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana, and create dashboards for proactive alerting.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment cycles.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of proven DevOps experience, with a focus on AWS and Azure.
• Strong hands-on experience in CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and Cloud Automation.
• Experience leading teams and managing DevOps operations in a collaborative environment.
• Prior presales experience — able to contribute to proposals, client demos, and solution architecture discussions.
• Proficient with Linux environments and cloud-based architecture deployment.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins.
• Familiar with RDBMS (Oracle/PLSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Couchbase) databases.
• Understanding of middleware components like Kafka, Tomcat, and JBoss.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Good to Have:

• Experience with Confluence and Jira for project documentation and task tracking.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of monitoring/alerting frameworks and dashboard creation for reporting performance metrics.
