Role Overview

In this position, you will create impactful insights for Edgewell Personal Care a leading beauty & personal care company. You will lead a high-performance team in developing and using Circana’s tools to identify and address a broad spectrum of key marketing and sales issues including new product launches, line extensions, trade spending, pricing, and retail execution. You serve as a passionate advocate for the client in advancing solutions that will best build the client’s long-term business. While exceeding revenue targets is important, success is equally measured by the ability to create indispensable, long-term, solution-focused consultative partnerships and build relationships with key senior level stakeholders. Location: This position can be located in the following area(s): NYC Metropolitan Area with ability to go to NYC 1 day a week and CT periodically.

Job Responsibilities

Client Engagement:

  • Strengthen client relationships and expand engagement beyond current scope; act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
  • Build new relationships within the client organization to broaden Circana’s influence and uncover new opportunities.
  • Provide industry thought leadership and represent Circana at client and industry forums.
  • Manage complex projects and ensure alignment with client objectives while fostering continuous improvement in processes and deliverables.

Sales Leadership:

  • Drive business development by identifying growth opportunities and leading proposal development; apply proven selling capabilities to secure expanded engagements.
  • Promote, develop, and deliver analytics-based syndicated and custom business solutions in partnership with HQ subject matter experts.
  • Serve as a client advocate and liaison to Circana’s Product Management, Strategic Analytics, Consumer & Shopper, Media Solutions, In-Store Solutions, Technology, and Operations teams.

Analytic Leadership:

  • Leverage Circana data and strong analytical capabilities to uncover impactful insights and inform business strategies that drive client performance.
  • Deliver insights that address key marketing issues such as new product launches, line extensions, pricing, trade spend, and retail execution using Circana’s Liquid Data® platform and extensive data assets including Point-of-Sale (POS), Supply Chain, Household Panel, and Experian demographic data.
  • Assess when and how to customize solutions for unique client business issues; recommend long-term changes to methodology and approach.
  • Lead strategic problem-solving and innovation initiatives to drive client adoption of Circana solutions.

People Management:

  • Lead a team of 2 Client Insight associates and 3 Client Service associates (dotted line).

Requirements

  • 10 + years of progressive business experience with a strong understanding of manufacturer/retailer issues having worked in one or more of the environments below:
    • Retailer
    • Consumer Packaged Goods
    • Industry Research companies
  • Ability to develop and execute client relationship strategies and architect business proposals leveraging a cross functional team of service line experts by integrating Circana's services and solutions and aligning them with retailer-specific business needs
  • Demonstrated ability driving C-level engagements across the broad spectrum of CPG core issues (i.e. brand development, category management, marketing, etc.)
  • Proven experience always maintaining manufacturer’s and retailer’s perspective in mind; able to think through multiple divergent paths and understand the implications on the client and Circana.
  • A track record of creating and leveraging innovative solutions
  • General management responsibility with a track record of exponential revenue and profit growth through the achievement of short- and long-term objectives
  • Proven experience and success driving revenue growth through innovation
  • Impactful executive presence
  • Ability to translate vision articulated by stakeholders into solutions
  • Leadership - able to demonstrate leadership of direct reports or complex project teams
  • Business Insights - able to quickly assess complex client issues and identify root causality versus symptoms
  • Impact - able to convey technical content and data analytics to all audiences in compelling ways
  • Undergraduate degree required

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $160,000 - $190,000.

This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
