Sr. Director of Tutoring

Duties

• Lead the recruitment, training, and supervision of tutoring staff, ensuring high standards of teaching quality and classroom management
• Oversee instructional strategies that incorporate best practices in tutoring, special education, and classroom management
• Implement and utilize cutting-edge learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement
• Coordinate scheduling to optimize tutor availability and student access while maintaining a positive learning environment
• Monitor student progress through assessments and feedback mechanisms; adjust instructional approaches as needed
• Support tutors with ongoing professional development in areas such as child development and communication skills

Experience

• Demonstrated success in tutoring or teaching roles with children or students with special needs
• Strong background in classroom management techniques suited for both children and adult learners
• Experience working with students from varied backgrounds, including preschoolers, children with disabilities, or those requiring childcare support
• Familiarity with learning technology platforms used to facilitate remote or hybrid tutoring sessions
• Prior leadership experience in an educational environment or tutoring program preferred
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and connect effectively with students and families
