Sr. Electrical Engineer (Motor Rewinding & Overhaul - LV/HV)

2.1 Technical & Operational Management

Lead transformer rewinding, repair, and overhauling activities:

231V to 230kV, 150kVA to 200MVA (rewinding & repairs)

231V to 380kV, up to 227MVA (overhauling services)

Manage rewinding, repair, and overhaul of rotating machines:

Motors from 380V to 13.8kV (0.5 HP to 27,000 HP)

Generators from 220V to 24kV

Stator: 2,500 kW to 1,200 MW

Rotor: 4,160 kW to 600 MW

Oversee complete repair and rewinding of LV/HV, AC/DC motors and alternators.

Lead testing and commissioning activities at workshop and project sites.

Supervise workshop manpower, equipment, infrastructure, and daily operations.

Ensure timely completion of jobs, delivery of equipment, and submission of technical reports.

2.2 Quality, Standards & Compliance

• Ensure strict compliance with VGE Quality Management System (QMS).

• Maintain facility and personnel certifications, including ISO, NEMA, ASME, AEMT, EASA, and IECEx.

• Ensure preventive maintenance and calibration of workshop equipment.

• Manage employee qualifications, approvals, and mandatory training as per contract requirements.

• Ensure adherence to client specifications, approved procedures, and international best practices.

2.3 Commercial & Business Development

Prepare technical and commercial estimates, quotations, and contract documentation.

Plan execution strategies including manpower, materials, logistics, and subcontract services.

Monitor departmental revenue targets and profitability.

Coordinate with Deputy Manager and Business Development Team to expand market presence.

Liaise with clients on project progress, invoicing, technical clarifications, and complaints resolution.

Develop and implement business growth plans for the Electrical Rotating Machinery

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
