Job Description
OEL is looking for a Senior Engineer Maintenance for its plant in Hyderabad location. The candidate, with a proven track record, will be responsible to supervise the successful installation of commission of equipment in the upcoming green field project.
Ideal Experience:
We are looking for a young, dynamic candidate B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 5-7 years of experience with a strong background in maintaining hydraulic presses, paint shop systems, overhead conveyors, pneumatic systems, Robots and utility equipment such as pumps, blowers, impellers, compressors, and forklifts. The ideal candidate must be proficient in SAP PM module and capable of independently planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules to ensure high equipment uptime and plant reliability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of:- Hydraulic presses, paint booths (liquid & powder), and curing ovens.
- Overhead/floor conveyors, including motor gearboxes and drives.
- Pneumatic systems – FRLs, actuators, valves, and compressors.
- Utility systems – centrifugal pumps, gear pumps, blowers, impellers, forklifts
- Conduct mechanical overhauling of pumps and blowers including bearing replacement, alignment, seal checks, and impeller balancing.
- Troubleshoot breakdowns and carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Preventive Maintenance Planning:
- Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules based on OEM guidelines and machine history.
- Use SAP PM module for:
- Creating and closing maintenance notifications, orders, and task lists.
- Scheduling PM activities, generating checklists, and tracking compliance.
- Recording equipment history, parts consumption, and downtime analytics
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain PM compliance reports, breakdown analysis sheets, and spare part logs.- Ensure documentation of all maintenance activities as per internal and audit requirements.
Reliability Improvement & Safety:
Support reliability initiatives, energy-saving projects, and OEE improvement.- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, LOTO, and environmental guidelines.
- Participate in TPM, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Strong technical knowledge of pumps, blowers, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and utility equipment.- Proficient in SAP PM for maintenance planning and reporting.
- Hands-on with mechanical troubleshooting, vibration analysis, alignment, and seal maintenance.
- Good understanding of paint shop processes, conveyor maintenance, and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and coordination skills.
