Job Summary

The Senior Estimator shall be responsible for leading all pre-contract cost management activities, including feasibility studies, conceptual estimating, cost planning, benchmarking, value engineering, and detailed project estimation across all asset classes and development types. The role requires extensive experience in evaluating project viability, preparing accurate cost forecasts, managing budgets from concept through tender stage, and providing strategic commercial advice to support investment and development decisions.

The successful candidate will possess strong expertise in residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, mixed-use, industrial, infrastructure, and master development projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and detailed cost estimates for a wide range of construction projects, including high-rise and low-rise developments, master-planned communities, villas, and mixed-use developments.
• Lead the preparation of high-level feasibility estimates for potential developments.
• Develop order-of-magnitude budgets and investment-grade cost assessments.
• Advise management on commercial risks and opportunities associated with new developments.
• Conduct sensitivity analysis for various project scenarios.
• Establish accurate cost models for various project types.
• Prepare quantity-based estimates and rate build-ups.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality, functionality, or project objectives.
• Develop project budgets and cost plans during design stages.
• Cost Benchmarking & Market Intelligence
• Support procurement and contract award recommendations.
• Support the cost control function by ensuring the accurate allocation of cost codes and maintaining effective cost tracking and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with consultants, design teams, and project stakeholders to ensure estimate accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline.
• 10–15 years of estimation experience on high-rise residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments including Villa.
• Strong experience in Estimation, BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, cost planning.
• Knowledge of UAE construction market rates and procurement practices.
• Proficiency in CostX, Planswift, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience working with developers, PMC organizations, consultants, or major contractors.
• Strong analytical, commercial, and communication skills.
