Job Description – Senior ETL & Power BI Developer

Exp - 7-8yrs

Location - Coimbatore

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior ETL & Power BI Developer with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in Data Integration, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence and Dashboard Development. The ideal candidate must be capable of understanding complex business requirements and delivering end-to-end data and reporting solutions. The candidate should also be able to lead a small team, perform code reviews, ensure best practices, and support critical production systems.

Mandatory Skills:

ETL & Database

• Strong hands-on skills in SQL and SSIS.
• Solid understanding of stored procedures, views, triggers, functions, and performance tuning.
• Experience in ETL design, Data Extraction from sources (SQL, Oracle, Excel, SharePoint, Flat files, etc.).
• Strong knowledge in data profiling, data analysis, and integration techniques.
• Ability to review code, perform QA, and ensure adherence to standards.
• Understanding and implementation experience of Data Warehousing and Data Models (both existing and new).

Power BI & Reporting

• Strong expertise in Power BI dashboard/report development.
• Deep understanding of Data Modelling, DAX, and MDX.
• Experience with data preparation, Power BI Gateway, publishing, scheduling, and administration.
• Ability to implement Row-Level Security, performance tuning, and design best practices.

Good to Have

• SQL DBA knowledge (Backup/Restore, Partitioning, Job Scheduling & Monitoring).
• Knowledge of other BI tools like Tableau, QlikView, etc.

Roles and Responsibilities

ETL / Database Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, tune, and maintain SSIS packages for end-to-end ETL processes.
• Work with diverse data sources and ensure reliable extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Implement error handling, logging, and redirection strategies within SSIS.
• Develop and optimize SQL procedures, functions, views, and triggers for ETL workflows.
• Participate in data modelling and assist in Data Warehouse design.
• Prepare technical specifications, data mappings, and documentation as per standards.
• Troubleshoot data issues, perform root cause analysis, and resolve production incidents within SLA.
• Deploy ETL solutions across environments and handle SQL Job scheduling and monitoring.
• Conduct unit testing and ensure reusable, scalable, and high-performance ETL modules.
• Integrate ETL processes with reporting solutions to deliver consistent data across the enterprise.

Power BI / Dashboard Responsibilities:

• Interact with business teams to understand requirements and develop use cases.
• Prototype, design, and build visually rich dashboards and reports.
• Develop KPIs, scorecards, and analytical visuals using Power BI Desktop.
• Perform data transformations, modelling, and create optimized DAX measures.
• Implement security models (RLS) and best practices in Power BI.
• Publish reports to Power BI Service, schedule refreshes, manage workspaces, and ensure smooth administration.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
