Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Management:
- Source, negotiate, and procure medical and non-medical items (consumables, instruments, equipment, etc.) as per hospital requirements.
- Ensure cost optimisation through effective negotiation and vendor evaluation.
- Process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in line with approved budgets and timelines.
- Vendor Management:
- Identify, develop, and maintain reliable suppliers, ensuring quality and timely deliveries.
- Evaluate vendor performance periodically based on price, quality, delivery, and service.
- Maintain vendor database and build long-term relationships with key suppliers.
- Inventory Coordination:
- Work closely with the Store and Biomedical departments to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Monitor consumption patterns and assist in demand forecasting.
- Prevent stockouts or overstock situations through timely procurement planning.
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or related field. (MBA in Materials Management preferred)
- Experience: 4–7 years of experience in purchase/procurement within the healthcare/hospital industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, MedMan, HIS).
- Strong knowledge of hospital materials, medical consumables, and equipment brands.
