KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting has partnered with a growing consumer product goods company near Portland, ME in search of a Senior Financial Analyst to build out and own their FP&A function.

This is a newly created role supporting a high-growth operation with multiple business lines, including retail, manufacturing, and distribution. The position will report directly to executive leadership and serve as a key thought partner in driving financial visibility and strategic financial planning and analysis as the organization scales.

This is a unique opportunity for someone with strong FP&A experience who enjoys building from the ground up designing models, systems, and dashboards that deliver actionable insight across departments.

Responsibilities For The Senior Financial Analyst Position

  • Develop and distribute monthly financial reports and dashboards that inform leadership decision-making
  • Build forecasting models, scenario planning tools, and long-range financial projections
  • Lead budgeting cycles and support cross-functional teams with planning, modeling, and spend analysis
  • Conduct detailed variance and trend analysis across departments including operations, sales, and marketing
  • Identify performance drivers, cost opportunities, and strategic levers to optimize profitability
  • Support ERP and reporting system implementations; build scalable reporting structures and financial tools
  • Partner directly with executive leadership on business strategy, growth initiatives, and process improvement
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for non-financial stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A or strategic finance experience
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Familiarity with mid to large ERP systems and business intelligence tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage, Tableau, etc.)
  • Experience building reporting infrastructure, dashboards, and planning tools from scratch

Salary: $100,000-$125,000 + Bonus + Hybrid Flexibility + Competitive Benefits
