Sr Financial Analyst

Position Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for preparing and reviewing the Bank’s annual budgeted financial statements and reports, rolling forecasts, performing high quality financial analysis and additional projects and duties as requested to support the Finance Manager and the CFO.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the budgeting and re-forecasting process, including partnering with stakeholders throughout the budget cycle.
  • Collaborate with budget holders across the bank to develop annual budgets, monitor ongoing performance, and provide clear, actionable financial insights.
  • Administer and maintain financial planning and reporting system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy of budgets and forecasts.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports comparing actual results to budget and forecast; communicate performance, risks, and variances to budget owners and leadership.
  • Develop ad-hoc financial models and analyses to support business decisions, including product, project, and ROI evaluations.
  • Partner with Accounting during month-end close to ensure financial entries align with budgeted plans and forecasts, and perform other monthly duties as assigned.
  • Own the Strategic Incentive Compensation Model and assist with annual bank-wide goal setting plans.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting.
  • 3 – 5 years of financial reporting experience in a financial institution preferred.
  • Understanding of purpose of financial statements, KPI’s, and margin planning.
  • Experience using Axiom or a similar financial reporting system preferred.
  • Experience using Cognos or similar system preferred.
  • Must demonstrate strong Excel skills.
