Hourly Pay Range (Minimum - Midpoint - Maximum):

$49.700 - $64.130 - $71.820


The stated pay scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and employer business practices.


What You Will Do

Assist SCMG CFO in planning and analysis related to SCMG sub-entities to include but is not limited to: Metis, Focus Health and SharpCare. Develop analytics to assess monthly physician productivity, financial performance by entity, and ROI of investments. Will act as a consultant and trainer for SCMG physicians and staff in developing operating budgets and monitoring financial performance of operations to improve profitability. Assist leadership with new sub-entities, evaluation and analysis of business growth opportunities and initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
  • 3 Years experience in accounting or finance to include budgeting, financial analysis, and using financial applications.
  • 2 Years Experience in the healthcare industry.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and proficiency in preparing and conducting presentations and training programs.


Essential Functions

  • Budget Development, Analysis and Training
    Coordinates the preparation and consolidation of entity operating budgets according to the budget calendar.
    Analyzes and explains variances to budget. Makes suggestions for improvements and actively participates in strategic initiatives.
    Assists in the development of return on investment calculations on proposed new projects.
    Maintains proficiency on software applications required for budget development.
    Produces and provides training and education to other Financial Analysts, physicians, and leadership.
    Assists SCMG entities in developing budgeting processes, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent and compliant practice.
  • Financial Analysis
    Assists Chief Financial Officer in analysis of financial performance for SCMG entities. Prepares and analyzes monthly expense variance reports, financial projections, revenue analysis reports, and various monthly management and operational reports.
    Assists in capacity, staffing, and RVU analysis of physician and mid-level providers and makes recommendations.
    Supports process improvement, business development, and improved decision making by providing fiscal impact data, identifying financial opportunities, and measuring effects of change.
    Analyses will be required in order to evaluate current programs and services, new business opportunities, strategic business plan initiatives, and payor contracts.
  • Risk Assessment
    Assist in analyzing SCMG's sub entities performance on risk adjustment scores and helping to identify opportunities for improvement.
    Assists in the completion of SCMG's sub entities annual risk adjustment incentive program.
    Supports various audit requests from third parties related to risk adjustment.
    Coordinates retrieval of medical records and submission to third party.
    Resolve discrepancies with third party such that audit requirements are completed.
    Assists SCMG Medical Directors with production of necessary reports/analysis to be provided to contracted physicians to help educate/explain risk adjustment performance.
  • Prepare Financial Reports and Analysis
    Coordinates the preparation of various financial, statistical, and operational reports. Uses information for analysis of department and medical group financial performance.
  • Special Projects
    Coordinates completion of special projects and ad hoc analysis as assigned. May participate in financial modeling related to acquisitions and other business development initiatives.
