I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serves as a financial consultant and resource to The Queen’s Health System (QHS) executive management staff, primarily for the analysis and evaluation of business plans and strategic initiatives.
- Lead role in the development, preparation and monitoring of operating budgets and forecasts, financial analysis and business development projects while providing high quality, responsive customer service.
- Coaches and mentors Financial Planning and Analysis (FPA) staff as related to business planning projects.
- Responsible for coordination and execution of special projects as assigned.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, healthcare or related field.
- Master’s degree in business administration preferred.
- CPA licensure highly desirable.
B. EXPERIENCE:
- With Bachelor’s degree, five (5) years progressive experience in Finance.
- With Master’s degree, three (3) years progressive experience in Finance.
- Prior experience with healthcare data (ICD-9, CPT, DRG) within a hospital, healthcare payor, and/or health care services organization.
- Experience to demonstrate:
o Knowledge and applied experience in financial analysis and data research, associated with billing and reimbursement practices, cost allocations, profitability, business development, and treasury functions.
o Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
o Strong communication skills both oral and written with the ability to convey technical and data issues with internal stakeholders.
o Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects/clients simultaneously while ensuring quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
o Ability to work with financial systems, including operations, cost accounting, budgeting and analysis, financial modeling and forecasting, contract management, reimbursement, and statistics, preferably in the healthcare industry.
o Ability to lead and work collaboratively with a broad range of people to accomplish assignments and projects effectively and efficiently.
o Ability to coach and mentor financial analysts in the development of financial analyses supporting business development projects.
- Prior supervisory/leadership experience highly desirable.
