Key Responsibilities:
- Process end-to-end payroll for employees (monthly/bi-weekly/weekly, depending on company cycle).
- Ensure accurate and timely salary disbursement, considering deductions, bonuses, and adjustments.
- Maintain employee data in payroll software (e.g., salary structure, tax declarations, bank details).
- Coordinate with the finance department for payroll funding and reconciliation.
- Handle statutory compliance: PF, ESI, TDS, Gratuity, Professional Tax, and other applicable laws.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports, salary slips, and Form 16.
- Assist employees with payroll-related queries and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor attendance and leave records to ensure payroll accuracy.
- Stay updated with labor laws and payroll regulations and apply changes as necessary.
- Support audits by preparing payroll records and documentation.
- Liaise with external vendors (if payroll is partially outsourced).
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 4+ years of experience in manufacturing industries HR operations.
- Thorough understanding of HR best practices and employment laws and regulations
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
