Senior HR Generalist — Medina, OH, Onsite | Flexible Monday–Friday Schedule

We’re looking for a hands‑on, resourceful, relationship‑driven Senior HR Generalist who thrives in a fast‑paced, people‑focused environment.
This role is a true HR utility player — someone who can roll up their sleeves, build trust across the business, and help elevate a consistent and exceptional employee experience for 400+ employees across 13 Ohio locations.
You’ll partner closely with the Director of HR and serve as a key contributor across core HR functions: Recruiting & Onboarding, Benefits & Leave Admin, Performance Management, Culture & Engagement, Employee Relations, Compliance, Safety and Training & Development.
Primary Focus Areas:
- Assist in building a strategic and tactical HR team
- Benefits & Leave Administration: Lead full‑cycle benefits management, including enrollments, employee support, vendor coordination, and self‑insured plan administration.
- Employee Relations: Conduct investigations and provide coaching, guidance, and performance support to employees and leaders.
- Reporting & Analytics: Build HR dashboards, compliance reports, and workforce analytics to support strategic decision‑making.
Secondary Focus Areas:
- Compensation & Pay Structure: participate in salary benchmarking using market survey data. Assist with developing and maintaining structured pay ranges. Support pay‑equity reviews and compensation consistency across locations.
- Development of policies and procedures, SOP and HR compliance and best practices
- Educate and collaborate with Management team to develop tools, practices and techniques that allow them to coach, manage and develop their teams
Additional Areas of Contribution
Workforce Planning: Assist with staffing forecasts, succession planning, and organizational structure needs.
Performance Management: Partner with managers on performance reviews, documentation, and improvement plans.
Employee Experience: Help shape the end‑to‑end employee lifecycle—from onboarding to retention to offboarding.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of hands‑on HR experience, preferably in distribution, warehousing, or manufacturing.
- Full‑cycle experience across all major HR functions.
- Extensive benefits and leave administration experience, including FMLA, LOA, and Workers’ Comp.
- Compensation administration, benchmarking, and pay‑equity experience.
- Experience supporting a multi‑site workforce of 300+ employees.
- Paycor HRIS experience strongly preferred.
- Strong relationship‑building skills across all levels of the organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable working with minimal direction.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, dependable, and responsive.
- Team‑oriented “roll‑up‑your‑sleeves” mindset.
- Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint.
