JOB DESCRIPTION – Sr. HR Manager / HR Head (Pharma API Manufacturing)

Experience: 10–15+ Years (Mandatory in Pharma API Manufacturing Only)
Education: MBA (HR) / PGDM (HR) / Graduate with HR specialization
Gender: Male (Preferred – plant/field coordination)
Age Range: 35–50 Years
Salary Range: ₹12 LPA – ₹20 LPA (Depending on experience & HR leadership capability)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sr. HR Manager / HR Head to lead and manage the entire HR function for a Pharma API Manufacturing Plant. The candidate must have strong exposure to HR operations in Pharma API industry, including recruitment, payroll, compliance, ERP/CRM systems, documentation, training, export-account related HR coordination, and labor law adherence.

The role involves strategic HR leadership, managing employee lifecycle, ensuring smooth HR operations, supporting production, domestic, and export business needs, and maintaining a motivated and compliant workforce.

Key Responsibilities1. HR Operations & Policy Implementation

  • Lead end-to-end HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, leave management, attendance, and exit formalities.
  • Implement HR policies, SOPs, and guidelines aligned with company goals.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and HR audits.

2. Recruitment & Talent Management

  • Manage recruitment for all levels: Production, QA, QC, Accounts, Sales, and Export Teams.
  • Plan and execute recruitment drives for domestic and export-related positions.
  • Identify and retain talent in Pharma API manufacturing.
  • Implement performance appraisal systems, career planning, and succession planning.

3. Training & Development

  • Plan and implement training programs for plant operations, safety, GMP, and compliance.
  • Ensure skill development programs to improve productivity and quality standards.
  • Conduct induction, refresher, and leadership development programs.

4. Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain HR documentation: employee records, contracts, SOPs, statutory registers.
  • Ensure GMP-related HR documentation compliance for audits.
  • Support export/merchant exporter documentation related to workforce (if needed).
  • Maintain HR data and reports using ERP/CRM systems.

5. ERP / CRM Pharma Software Usage

  • Use ERP/CRM for employee management, payroll, attendance, recruitment tracking, and HR reporting.
  • Maintain accurate data for audits and management reporting.

6. Payroll & Compensation Management

  • Manage payroll processing, salary disbursement, statutory deductions (PF, ESI, TDS).
  • Design compensation structures and incentive schemes aligned with plant productivity & export operations.
  • Ensure timely compliance with statutory filings and audits.

7. Employee Relations & Workforce Management

  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, teamwork, and compliance.
  • Ensure smooth HR operations across Production, QA, QC, Accounts, Sales & Export teams.

8. Export & Domestic Business HR Support

  • Support HR requirements related to export operations (shift planning, manpower allocation, compliance with shipping schedules).
  • Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Accounts, and Export teams to ensure workforce readiness for domestic and international orders.

9. Audit & Reporting

  • Prepare HR reports for internal, statutory, and regulatory audits.
  • Support production and export audits with HR documentation.
  • Maintain MIS reports, headcount reports, attrition analysis, and HR KPIs.

Required SkillsTechnical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, statutory compliance (PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, TDS).
  • Experience in Pharma API Manufacturing plant HR operations (Domestic + Export).
  • Knowledge of ERP/CRM systems for HR processes.
  • Understanding of documentation required for audits and merchant exporter operations.
  • Payroll & compensation management experience.

Experience Required

  • 10–15+ years in HR in Pharma API manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in managing HR for Production, QA, QC, Sales, Export Accounts.
  • Experience in employee lifecycle management, payroll, ERP/CRM systems, statutory compliance, and business development HR support.

Salary Range

  • ₹12,00,000 – ₹20,00,000 per annum (Based on experience, plant size, and HR responsibilities)
