Key Responsibilities
- Policy and Procedure Development: Create, implement, and update safety policies and procedures to comply with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification: Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential safety hazards and risks within the workplace.
- Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver safety training programs and materials for employees and management to improve safety awareness and adherence to protocols.
- Accident Investigation: Investigate accidents, injuries, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventative measures to avoid future incidents.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about current safety legislation and standards, ensuring the organization meets all legal requirements.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation and records, including incident reports, safety statistics, and training logs.
- Collaboration: Work with various departments, team members, and external agencies to address safety issues effectively and efficiently.
- Safety Drills: Design and oversee safety drills, such as fire evacuations or spill response exercises, to prepare staff for emergencies.
