Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Sr. Internal Communications Specialist to join our team! In this role you will lead internal communications strategy and implementation with assigned business teams, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
What You'll Be Doing:
Responsible for strategic planning and content creation for assigned teams and/or special programs.
Influences enterprise narratives.
Establishes a framework for internal communications and identifies annual communications priorities.
Counsels assigned senior business leaders to design and execute multiple/concurrent strategic stories and campaigns that inform, inspire, and engage audiences, some of whom are difficult to reach.
Produces content via multiple traditional and digital mediums.
Develops and edits mid-level leader messaging to include: emails, letters, video scripts, speeches, employee announcements, executive summaries, and presentations.
Leverages digital platforms including Firstup, SharePoint (intranet), and Pardot (email system); may function as a subject matter expert (SME) for one or more of these tools at an enterprise level.
Contributes to content/editorial calendars.
Measures the effectiveness of communication channels to assess whether they are meeting the needs of assigned teams.
Identifies and implements change where opportunities to improve and customize our messaging, communications channels, and content exist.
Prepares and presents metrics on communications efforts, leveraging results to evolve strategies and approaches to achieve communications goals of assigned teams.
Supports virtual and in-person events for assigned teams.
May participate in cross functional teams driving processes improvement impacting employee experience and engagement.
May offer insight during the annual budget planning process.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Marketing, Business, HR or other related field
5+ years experience working in communications, marketing, business, or human resources
Advanced knowledge of communication trends, best practices and technologies to reach global, matrixed audiences
Advanced knowledge of digital communication tools and platforms
Advanced project management skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Advanced editing and presentation skills
Ability and desire to pursue continual learning opportunities in the areas of digital and strategic communications, UX, leadership, storytelling, crisis communication or reputation management, and data analytics
