About the role
The Senior Inventory Planner is responsible for optimizing inventory levels across MyEyeDr. offices and the Distribution Center to support sales, margin, and turn goals while delivering a seamless patient experience. This role manages replenishment, new release, and strategic stock orders, ensuring timely and accurate inventory placement. By partnering cross-functionally with distribution, merchandising, operations, and finance, the planner forecasts procurement spend, executes vendor returns, and drives inventory rebalancing strategies. Leveraging tools like Excel and AI, the planner identifies inefficiencies, streamlines workflows, and implements data-driven improvements to enhance operational performance and minimize financial risk.

Reporting to the Director, Frames Assortment Strategy, this is a hybrid remote role, offering a flexible work arrangement out of our Raleigh, NC office or the Greensboro, NC Distribution Center.

You Will
  • Monitor Office Inventory levels and manage placement of replenishment orders to optimize inventory levels in office
  • Partner with distribution center to place stock orders ensuring in-stock positions for office orders
  • Manage placement of new release orders and complete updates due to office openings, closings, or planogram changes
  • Forecast and manage the procurement spend by month and report variances
  • Manage and track orders to meet Vendor open-to-buy criteria
  • Maintain proper inventory levels by office location to support sales, margin and turn goals.
  • Work closely with distribution center to monitor vendor returns, ensuring return materials are maximized and strategically utilized
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to identify inefficiencies, streamline workflows, and implement data-driven process improvements that enhance operational effectiveness
  • Collaborate with internal teams and the distribution center to place and manage orders for new office setups, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of orders
  • Responsible for managing vendor communications and executing sales reporting to support demand planning and inventory optimization for MED assortments
  • Manage and execute all price changes, monitor performance, and communicate results clearly to cross-functional partners
  • Review and analyze business to identify potential inventory opportunities or liabilities and recommend actions to adjust inventory targets.
  • Recommend and execute inventory re-balancing opportunities, as necessary

About You
  • 4+ years experience in demand, merchandise planning, replenishment or a related field
  • Bachelors Degree or the equivalent combination of education, experience and skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, and data analysis to support strategic decision-making and optimize assortment planning
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools and technologies to streamline workflows, simplify complex processes, and enhance operational efficiency
  • Demonstrates a strong willingness to collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Possess strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • You are a data driven individual with a curious, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Optical experience a plus
