Sr. IT Support Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

1. System Administration: Installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems and software. Managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Monitoring system performance and ensuring uptime and reliability.

2. Network Management: Designing, implementing, and managing local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN). Configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. Ensuring network security and responding to security breaches.

3. Technical Support: Providing helpdesk support to resolve technical issues for end-users. Troubleshooting hardware and software problems. Assisting with the setup and configuration of new hardware and software.

4. Security Management: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect data and systems. Monitoring for and responding to security incidents and vulnerabilities. Conducting regular security audits and risk assessments.

5. Data Management: Ensuring data integrity, backup, and recovery. Managing databases and data storage solutions. Implementing data privacy policies and compliance measures.

6. Project Management: Planning and executing IT projects. Managing timelines, resources, and budgets. Coordinating with other departments and stakeholders.

7. Training and Documentation: Providing training sessions for employees on new technologies and software. Creating and maintaining documentation for systems, processes, and procedures. Developing user manuals and guides.

8. Vendor Management: Coordinating with third-party vendors for procurement of hardware and software. 10.Strategic Planning: Assessing current IT infrastructure and identifying areas for improvement. Planning for future technology needs and scalability. Aligning IT strategy with organizational goals and objectives.

9.Microsoft Tools: Expertise in Microsoft 365 Administration, Microsoft Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Virtual Machines, Hypervisors

11. Hands on expertise in Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure including:

a. Azure Virtual Machines (VMs)

b. Azure Active Directory / Entra ID

c. Virtual Networks (VNET), VPN, NSG, Firewalls

d. Storage Accounts, Azure Files, Blob Storage
e. Azure Backup and Site Recovery
f. Manage identity and access management (IAM), RBAC, and conditional
access policies
g. Implement security best practices including Defender for Cloud and Sentinel
h. Automate deployments using ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep
i. Monitor and optimize performance, availability, and cost
j. Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.


Qualifications Needed:

1. Bachelor’s in computer science and equivalent degree

2. 4+ years of IT experience

3. Possess good knowledge of LAN/WAN, Routers, Firewalls

4. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

5. Good English communication skills (spoken and written)

6. Preference will be given to French language proficiency

7. Must be customer focused

8. Flexible to work in multiple Time Zones.
