About the Role

As a Senior Manager, DevOps, you will provide strategic and people leadership for DevOps and CI/CD practices supporting critical FIS platforms. You will lead teams responsible for modernizing build, release, and deployment pipelines while driving automation, reliability, security, and scalability across enterprise environments. This role plays a key part in evolving legacy release management practices into modern DevOps capabilities

About the Team

You will lead a team of DevOps engineers supporting both legacy and modern application environments, partnering closely with Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Operations to enable efficient and reliable software delivery at scale.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Lead and mentor DevOps and CI/CD engineering teams, including performance management and career development
  • Define and execute DevOps strategy aligned with business and technology objectives
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and operation of CI/CD pipelines across multiple technology stacks
  • Drive modernization of release management practices, including automation and standardization
  • Partner with Engineering, Architecture, and Security to ensure secure, compliant, and scalable delivery pipelines
  • Establish and enforce DevOps standards, best practices, and governance
  • Identify and implement tools and processes to improve deployment speed, reliability, and quality
  • Monitor and optimize pipeline performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Support containerization and cloud‑based deployment strategies
  • Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to senior technology leadership

What You Will Need

  • Strong experience leading DevOps, CI/CD, or Release Engineering teams
  • Deep understanding of modern DevOps tools and practices
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms and source control systems
  • Knowledge of cloud and container technologies
  • Proven ability to lead transformation initiatives and manage change
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Years of experience: Typically 10+ years with people leadership

Added Bonus If You Have

  • Experience supporting both legacy and modern application environments
  • Exposure to regulated or financial services environments
  • Experience establishing Centers of Excellence or shared DevOps platforms

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $138,440.00 - $235,350.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
