Job Purpose

The Fundraise & Donor Engagement Manager will be responsible for designing and executing the organization’s fundraising strategy to secure funds from diverse sources, including corporate sponsors, foundations, individual donors etc. This role requires an experienced, proactive individual who can create compelling funding proposals, build long-term partnerships, and meet annual revenue targets. The Fundraise & Donor Engagement Manager will collaborate closely with the communications, programs, and finance teams to ensure the alignment of fundraising activities with the organization’s mission and goals.

Job Description

• Fundraising Strategy & Planning

o Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan aligned with the organization’s annual goals, mission, and priorities.

o Set annual fundraising targets and report progress regularly to senior management and the board.

• Donor Identification & Cultivation

o Identify and research potential corporate partners, foundations, and individual donors with an interest in the organization’s mission.

o Develop strong relationships with current and potential donors through personalized outreach, regular updates, and stewardship efforts.

• Proposal & Grant Writing

o Prepare high-quality funding proposals, grant applications, and presentations tailored to different donor audiences.

o Coordinate proposal submissions, tracking deadlines, and ensuring compliance with donor requirements.

• Corporate & Major Donor Engagement

o Develop tailored pitches for corporate sponsors and major donors, creating opportunities for event sponsorships, program funding, and corporate social

responsibility (CSR) collaborations.

o Regularly engage donors through meetings, events, and networking to build sustained relationships and increase donation renewals.

• Events & Campaigns Management

o Plan and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and donor engagement activities to increase visibility and funding.

o Coordinate with communications and marketing teams to maximize donor engagement through social media, newsletters, and other channels.

• Database Management

o Maintain an organized donor database, tracking all communication, donation history, and potential leads.

o Utilize various tools for reporting, segmentation, and strategic targeting of fundraising efforts.

• Collaboration & Coordination

o Work closely with program and finance teams to understand funding needs, track budget allocations, and ensure accurate reporting to donors.

o Support cross-departmental initiatives that foster an organizational culture of philanthropy and donor appreciation.

Desired Profile : Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Administration,Marketing,Communications,Public Relations,or a related field.

Master’s degree preferred.

Specific Skills Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal skills for maintaining positive relationships with donors, partners, and internal teams.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Skilled in analyzing data, and adapting fundraising approaches based on performance metrics.

Event Management: Experience in planning and executing successful fundraising events is

preferred.

Experience

10-15 years (with at least 5–7 years in fundraising or donor relations) experience within an NGO or social sector organization.

Willingness to travel for donor meetings and fundraising events as required.
