About the Team
Infrastructure Security (InfraSec) Operations is our dedicated operational engine for Infrastructure Security. We own the day-to-day running of controls and agents—deployments, upgrades, patching, policy rollouts, ticket triage, and on-call—so our InfraSec Reliability team can focus on SRE (SLOs, resilience engineering, automation) and InfraSec Innovation can focus on building new controls. We work follow-the-sun with crisp playbooks, ITIL discipline, and automation that turns toil into buttons.
About the Role
You will lead the Chennai-based InfraSec Operations team that owns Tier-1/Tier-2 operations for security controls and agents across servers, endpoints, containers, and cloud services. Your team executes BAU (deployments, upgrades, patching, policy rollouts), runs follow-the-sun on-call along with the Reliability Team, and keeps fleet health, telemetry, and evidence audit-ready. You’ll partner with InfraSec Reliability for escalations and automation, and with InfraSec Innovation to ensure smooth handoffs and operability. Success looks like high coverage, low toil, predictable changes, fast restore, and clean audit outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Front-line Ops (T1/T2): Staff/training/rosters; alert response and ticket triage; first-contact resolution to SLAs.
  • BAU Execution: Plan and perform agent deployments, version upgrades, patching, cert/key rotations, and policy/config rollouts with phased canaries, dry-runs, and rollback plans.
  • Fleet Health & Coverage: Track install/health/compliance across regions and platforms; drive remediation to target coverage.
  • Change Management: Author CAB-ready change records; schedule low-risk windows; verify post-change health and performance.
  • Incident & Problem: Lead triage, comms, recovery, and post-incident reviews; convert findings into durable fixes.
  • Observability & SLOs: Define SLOs (availability, coverage, update success, latency); build dashboards/alerts; run weekly ops reviews.
  • Automation First: Replace toil with scripts/pipelines (e.g., Ansible/Terraform/CI/CD); templatize crisp playbooksand checklists.
  • Data/Signal Operations: Keep collectors/forwarders/queues healthy; manage back-pressure/retries; meet data-quality SLAs to SIEM/SOAR.
  • Config Hygiene & Drift: Enforce secure defaults and policy-as-code; detect/remediate drift across clouds, clusters, and endpoints.
  • Platform Lifecycle: Track vendor releases/EOL; keep platforms within support and on a predictable upgrade rhythm.
  • Evidence as You Go: Ensure tickets, approvals, logs, and reports meet requirements—no audit fire drills.
  • Partner to Outcomes:
    • With Reliability (SRE): escalate per thresholds; feed problem records; prioritize automation backlogs.
    • With Innovation (ENG): validate operability at handoff; run pilots; close adoption gaps.
  • People Leadership: Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing Chennai team; run quality reviews and continuous training.
About You
You’re a security operations leader who loves turning chaos into calendars, scripts, and SLOs. You’ve run large agent/platform fleets, manage change windows with surgical precision, and treat incidents as fuel for better automation. You communicate crisply across time zones and build teams that execute safely, fast, and audit-ready.

Basic Qualifications
  • 10+ years in security/platform/IT operations; 4+ years leading engineers/ops leads; 2+ years managing managers or global teams.
  • Proven experience operating security agents/platforms at enterprise scale (EDR, CNAPP, K8s/runtime controls) across AWS/GCP/Azure and on-prem.
  • Hands-on with automation & config mgmt (Ansible/Puppet/Chef, Terraform), scripting (Python/Go/Bash), CI/CD, and observability (logs/metrics/traces).
  • Bachelor’s in CS, Cybersecurity, IS, or related; Master’s or equivalent practical experience preferred.

Other Qualifications
  • Deep ITIL/ITSM (change/incident/problem), CAB practices, follow-the-sun on-call, and service catalog/work-intake management.
  • Strong grasp of policy-as-code, secure configuration, and drift remediation.
  • Experience with endpoint/server management and/or Kubernetes operations.
  • Familiarity with data/telemetry pipelines (forwarders/collectors/queues) feeding SIEM/SOAR; back-pressure and quality controls.
  • Comfortable in regulated environments (FedRAMP, SOC 2, NIST); track record of audit-ready ops.
  • Excellent stakeholder and vendor management; clear written/verbal communication across time zones.

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
