Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Purchase & Vendor Management
- Develop and implement long-term procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify, evaluate, onboard, and manage strategic vendors and suppliers.
- Build strong vendor partnerships to ensure reliability, innovation, and cost efficiency.
- Lead vendor performance reviews, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mitigate supply risks through alternate sourcing and contingency planning.
2. Purchase Planning & Big Negotiations
- Lead annual and quarterly purchase planning in coordination with production, projects, and finance teams.
- Drive high-value and strategic negotiations to achieve optimal pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Develop cost-saving initiatives, value engineering, and contract optimization strategies.
- Finalize long-term rate contracts and framework agreements.
3. Quality & Quantity Assurance Oversight
- Ensure procurement meets defined quality standards and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with Quality, Stores, and Inspection teams for material verification and compliance.
- Oversee quantity accuracy, shortage/excess control, and rejection handling.
- Support corrective and preventive actions with vendors in case of quality issues.
4. Record & Documentation
- Ensure accurate and compliant documentation of purchase orders, contracts, agreements, and amendments.
- Maintain procurement MIS, reports, and dashboards for management review.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, audit requirements, and statutory compliance.
5. Order Processing & Vendor Communication
- Oversee end-to-end purchase order processing and execution.
- Ensure timely follow-ups with vendors for order confirmation, dispatch, and delivery.
- Resolve supply, pricing, or delivery-related issues through proactive vendor coordination.
- Act as the key escalation point for critical procurement matters.

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Management (MBA preferred).
- 10–15+ years of relevant procurement experience, with at least 4–5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience managing high-value purchases and strategic vendors.
