Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Senior Purchase Manager to lead our procurement operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, controlling procurement costs, and ensuring the timely availability of materials and services required for business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Manage the complete purchasing cycle, including sourcing, negotiation, vendor selection, purchase orders, and contract management.
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers while maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements to achieve maximum value for the organization.
- Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance to support strategic purchasing decisions.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services while maintaining required quality standards.
- Lead and supervise the procurement team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements and ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Develop and maintain procurement policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to prevent stock shortages or overstocking.
- Prepare procurement budgets, cost analyses, and management reports.
- Resolve supplier disputes, delivery issues, and quality concerns effectively.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical procurement practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and cost savings.
Requirements:
- 8–12+ years of procurement experience, including at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing, sourcing, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree (MBA or relevant field).
- Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or CSCP.
- Experience in manufacturing, textile, retail, construction, or FMCG industries.
