Role Summary:
Our Sr. Manager of Stamping Operations is critical in developing and implementing the strategic vision for our entire Stamping operation. This role is responsible for the leadership and development of Production Managers and ensure our KPIs are met while solving the problems of today as we continue to ramp production for the future. The Sr. Manager of Body Shop Operations will report to the Director of Body Shop, Stamping and Plastics.
Responsibilities:
- Develop Key KPI’s for stamping shop and drive continuous improvement activity to reduce changeover time, downtime, and reduce scrap and increase overall shop GSPH

Leverage your strong training and mentorship skills to manage and develop teams while also driving process improvements and serving as a change manager where needed.

Have the autonomy to make key contributions combined with the support of other managers.

Have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and/or pursue advancement in our global organization.

Ensuring the assembly of quality products at or below budgeted production costs to meet marketplace demand.

Leveraging your Lean Six Sigma and analytical skills to identify gaps and implement process improvements.

Lead and develop Production Managers in the stamping operation

Provide leadership and management for model Stamping Technology programs

Initial concept and advance planning for the scope of work, budget requirements
Manage the milestones and completion of critical path deliverables -
Ensure that die program requirements are built with a capable process meeting timing, quality, and investment.

In addition, die program deliverables must also be capable of achieving the production manufacturing process requirements of vertical launch and related KPI's upon delivery.

Manage human and material resources to meet production targets and KPI’s.

Meeting daily quality goals set by KPI’s.
Ensures shop floor organization, production, safety, and department 5S. -
Proactively and regularly develops and manages team member’s performance and capabilities, based upon company KPI’s.

Provides leadership and training to accomplish plant/company goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years working experience in Manufacturing environment (preferably Automotive).

5+ years Manufacturing Supervisory Experience (preferably automotive)

Minimum 10 years' experience in stamping tool and die development
-
Bachelor's degree
-
New model launch experience
-
Problem solving experience – 8D method.

Manufacturing/assembly process experience.

Kaizen / continuous improvement process experience.
-
6 Sigma greenbelt or blackbelt desired.

Must have good understanding of manufacturing procedures and practices.

Experience with lean manufacturing

Process and detail oriented

Understanding of labor budgets, KPI's, and efficiency reporting

Excellent communication skills with ability to coach and mentor

Pay Disclosure:
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Illinois Based Applicants: $131,200-164,000 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
