Job Summary

We are hiring a Sr. Manager – Supply Chain Management to lead the end-to-end supply chain operations for our Primary Pharma Packaging Plant in Nashik. The role will focus on ensuring uninterrupted availability of raw materials, consumables, and services while maintaining strict compliance with CGMP, FDA, and pharmaceutical regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Purchase Management

• Develop sourcing strategies for raw materials, packaging materials, and capex.
• Ensure vendor qualification, audits, and adherence to pharma regulatory norms.
• Negotiate and finalize supply agreements for cost, quality, and timely delivery.
• Implement supplier quality management systems in collaboration with QA.
• Ensure procurement documentation, traceability, and compliance.

Stores & Inventory Management

• Oversee safe, compliant handling and storage of packaging materials and consumables.
• Maintain accurate stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
• Implement FIFO/FEFO practices and ensure batch traceability.
• Coordinate with QA for material approval, quarantine, and release.

Logistics & Distribution

• Plan and manage inbound logistics for raw materials and outbound logistics for finished goods.
• Build a strong logistics partner network ensuring cost-effective, damage-free deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with pharma transport norms and export requirements.
• Handle customs clearance and statutory compliance for global shipments.

Planning & Coordination

• Develop Material Requirement Planning (MRP) aligned with production schedules.
• Maintain optimum inventory considering demand variability.
• Prepare and present MIS reports on KPIs (lead time, vendor performance, inventory turns).
• Collaborate closely with Production, QA, QC, R&D, and Sales teams.

Vendor Development & Management

• Identify, qualify, and develop vendors for raw materials and services.
• Conduct vendor audits with QA and Compliance teams.
• Drive initiatives for cost reduction, risk mitigation, and supplier consolidation.
• Ensure vendor readiness for regulatory inspections.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate in Engineering/Science/Commerce with MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain/Materials Management (Mandatory).
• 10–12 years of supply chain/purchase experience, with at least 5–7 years in leadership roles in Pharma Packaging/Pharma industry.
• Experience in regulatory audits, vendor qualifications, and compliance-driven supply chain processes.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in Procurement & Supply Chain Management in pharma packaging.
• Knowledge of CGMP, FDA, and pharma regulatory norms.
• Proficiency in SAP systems.
• Strong vendor management, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Leadership skills with ability to manage cross-functional teams.

Pay: ₹1,800,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
