Sr Manager Supply Chain Management - Pharmaceutical Industry

JOB SUMMARY: The position Sr. Manager Supply Chain Management will lead the end-to-end supply chain function for the Primary Pharma Packaging Plant Gonde Nashik, ensuring uninterrupted availability of raw materials, consumables, and services in compliance with stringent pharmaceutical industry standards. The role demands strong expertise in Procurement, Stores, Logistics, Inventory Management, Vendor Development, and Materials Planning with a focus on cost efficiency, timely availability, compliance with CGMP, FDA, and regulatory standards, and effective coordination across functions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: Procurement / Purchase Management Develop sourcing strategies for raw materials, packaging material, capex etc. used in pharma packaging. Ensure vendor qualification, audits, and procurement practices adhere to pharma regulatory norms. Negotiate and finalize supply agreements ensuring best quality, cost, and delivery timelines. Implement effective supplier quality management systems in collaboration with QA. Ensure documentation, traceability, and compliance in the procurement process. Stores & Inventory Management Oversee safe and compliant handling, storage, and retrieval of packaging materials and consumables. Ensure proper documentation as per GMP norms (GRN, issue slips, batch records, etc.). Maintain accurate stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking. Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices, batch traceability, and storage as per regulatory requirements. Coordinate with QA for material approval, quarantine, and release. Logistics & Distribution Plan and control inbound logistics for raw materials and consumables. Manage outbound logistics for finished packaging products ensuring damage-free, timely deliveries to pharma clients. Develop strong transporter and logistics partner network with cost and service efficiency. Ensure compliance with pharma transport norms, packaging, and documentation requirements. Handle export logistics, customs clearance, and statutory compliance for global clients. Planning & Coordination Align supply chain strategy with Production, QA, QC, R&D, and Sales functions. Develop Material Requirement Planning in line with production schedules. Maintain optimum inventory levels considering demand variability from pharma customers. Prepare and present MIS reports, highlighting KPIs such as lead time, inventory turns, and vendor performance. Vendor Development & Management Identify and develop compliant vendors for raw materials, consumables, and critical services. Conduct vendor audits in collaboration with QA/Compliance teams. Drive cost reduction, risk mitigation, and supplier consolidation initiatives. Ensure suppliers follow pharma industry standards and support in regulatory inspections Desired Qualifications & Experience Graduate in Engineering / Science / Commerce with MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain Management / Materials Management preferred. Minimum 10–12 years of experience in Supply Chain / Purchase, with at least 5–7 years in leadership role within Pharma Packaging / Pharma Industry will be preferred. Experience in handling regulatory audits, vendor qualifications, and compliance-driven supply chain processes is essential. The ideal candidate is a seasoned Supply Chain professional with 10–15 years of experience in procurement, stores, inventory, logistics, and vendor management, preferably within the pharma packaging or regulated pharmaceutical industry. He should have a proven track record of ensuring uninterrupted material availability, handling regulatory audits (CGMP, FDA, QA inspections), and driving cost optimization while maintaining strict compliance standards. They must have hands-on expertise in SAP (MM/WM modules) for procurement, inventory, and reporting, with strong knowledge of MRP and demand planning. The candidate should demonstrate experience in vendor qualification, supplier audits, export/import logistics, customs clearance, and global supply chain compliance.

The expected CTC should not exceed 20-25% of hike from his current CTC and must be in the budget HM is not considering candidate with long notice period. Look for immediate joiner or candidates with 30 days notice period. Psychometric test will be conducted if the candidate moved to the HR stage 6 days working. (Sunday working . Saturday off) SAP Knowledge is Must, Prefer local candidates, but client also open to considering candidates who are willing to relocate.

Pay: ₹1,600,000.00 - ₹1,850,000.00 per year
