Sr. Manager Zong App – Software Engineering

Purpose:

• This function is responsible for end-to-end development, design, and evolution of the My Zong App into a full Super App enriched with Zong AI capabilities . It collaborates with MZA center in Marketing department to gather requirements and deliver seamless digital experiences, integrate cross-domain services, and enable intelligent, personalized interactions for all Zong customers. The function ensures the app becomes the central digital touchpoint for engagement, self-care, commerce, and AI-powered services.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with MZA center in Marketing department to gather requirements, understand requirements and deliver changes in an efficient manner.
• Lead complete front-end, back-end, and UI/UX design for the My Zong App.
• Develop and evolve the app architecture to support Super App capabilities (modular services, mini-apps, partner integrations).
• Integrate AI capabilities (Zong AI Assistant, recommendations, predictive insights, automation).
• Build intelligent customer journeys using behavioral analytics and personalization engines .
• Ensure seamless integration with internal systems (BSS, CRM, charging, network analytics, Big Data, AIS).
• Manage secure APIs, microservices, identity management , and scalability of app infrastructure.
• Drive performance optimization, reliability, and high-availability for millions of users.
• Develop and maintain a consistent design system and digital experience standard for Zong.
• Introduce digital payments, partner services, mini-apps, and marketplace capabilities.
• Lead continuous improvement through user research, feedback loops, A/B testing, and usage insights.
• Ensure compliance, security, privacy, and governance of all customer data and AI outputs.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to launch new campaigns, bundles, and experience innovations through the app .
• Own the product roadmap, features backlog, and multi-release delivery plan.
• Drive innovation to position My Zong App as Pakistan’s leading telecom Super App.

Education:

• In principle Minimum of Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science or other technical domains

Experience:

• Minimum Experience: 4 yrs. or Above
