Job Description

Oversee the strategic development and execution of the commercial strategy framework initiatives across the Business Department, ensuring compliance with policies and alignment with organizational goals. Drive the adoption of cost-effective solutions, oversee techno-commercial evaluations, and develop Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) assessments to ensure feasibility and profitability of new solutions and projects. Spearhead cost optimization for special projects and complex deals, determining final commercials and sales prices while maintaining competitiveness and profitability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize revenue, mitigate risks, and ensure seamless execution of commercial strategies, fostering operational excellence and financial sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the overall commercial strategy framework, ensuring compliance with policies and alignment with business goals.
  • Lead and coordinate initiatives across the Business department to adopt best-in-class cost-effective solutions, achieving optimal value for Etisalat and its Business customers.
  • Oversee the evaluation and benchmarking of new products and technologies, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and market trends.
  • Develop techno-commercial business cases and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) assessments to evaluate the feasibility and profitability of new solutions and projects.
  • Perform continuous market analysis to update solutions roadmaps and recommend strategies for adopting emerging technologies in line with business requirements.
  • Lead cost development and optimization for special projects and complex deals in collaboration with Solution Architecture, P&C, Technology & IT, Sales, and Business Marketing teams.
  • Lead the determination of final commercials and sales price to customers for complex customer projects and high-value deals, ensuring competitiveness and alignment while maintaining profitability.
  • Approve final partner costs and internal resource allocations for Business projects during customer proposal development, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to governance standards.
  • Provide strategic oversight and solution decision support for telecommunications mega projects and complex solutions, ensuring optimal solutions that align with customer needs and business objectives.
  • Architect, approve, and maintain dynamic cost templates for systems, technologies, and services, enabling pre-sales and sales teams to build accurate and competitive RFP proposals for customers.
  • Identifying opportunities to maximize revenue through effective commercial strategies and cost management.
  • Ensuring alignment between the commercial strategy and the Business Department’s annual revenue targets and strategic goals.
  • Assessing commercial risks associated with projects, pricing, and partnerships.
  • Implementing mitigation strategies to safeguard financial and operational stability.
  • Working closely with sales, pre-sales, finance, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of commercial strategies.
  • Acting as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to drive successful outcomes.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to direct reports, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across commercial management domain.
  • Drive innovation in commercial management methodologies and tools, leveraging advanced analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging technologies to improve accuracy and efficiency

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business / Legal or equivalent
  • 10-12 years of experience in Commercial and contract management
  • Previous experience in commercial and contract management in Telecom industry
