Job Description
The role focuses on aligning procurement practices with UAE sustainability goals, emphasizing responsible sourcing, decarbonization, and cost optimization. Key responsibilities include analyzing ethical procurement objectives, conducting market intelligence, and driving process improvements by enhancing supplier onboarding processes.
The Senior Manager will develop a strategic roadmap for responsible sourcing and decarbonization, collaborating with key partners to implement initiatives that support UAE’s sustainability objectives. This position requires expertise in integrating sustainability into procurement processes, fostering innovation, and ensuring compliance with best practices and governance controls.
Responsibilities

Alignment with UAE Sustainability Goals: Align procurement practices with UAE sustainability objectives, focusing on responsible sourcing, decarbonization, and cost optimization.

Supplier Engagement & Collaboration: Drive supplier awareness, commitment, and performance in reducing Scope 3 emissions. Ensure alignment with the organization’s sustainability targets and reporting requirements.

Sustainable Sourcing: Integrate Scope 3 considerations into category strategies. Enhance supplier onboarding and contracting processes to minimize environmental impact and ensure compliance with sustainability standards.

Carbon Data Collection & Reporting: Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to capture accurate data on purchased goods and services, upstream and downstream logistics, capital goods, and other relevant Scope 3 categories. Develop a strategic roadmap for responsible sourcing and decarbonization.

Decarbonization Programs: Develop and implement initiatives with suppliers to reduce lifecycle emissions (e.g., circular economy, green logistics, eco-design, and renewable energy adoption).

Compliance & Standards Alignment: Ensure procurement activities align with international sustainability standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISO 20400, SBTi) and local government climate objectives. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and the e& Strategy team to maintain compliance.

Performance Tracking: Establish KPIs, dashboards, and regular reporting mechanisms to monitor Scope 3 reduction progress and supplier performance.

GHG Rebaselining & Reporting: Support the rebase lining of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and report progress in close coordination with the e& Strategy team. Ensure accuracy, transparency, and alignment with Group-level sustainability goals.
Qualifications

3-4 years of experience in Sustainability, Procurement, Project management specifically within procurement function of a technology organization

Masters / bachelor’s degree in business administration, Statistics, Finance or relevant field
