SR. MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Primary Purpose Of The Job

Provide mechanical engineering technical support to the projects, operation, maintenance, asset integrity, construction, and supply chain. Provide input to the Concept / FEED / Detail design work on asset development Projects carried out by Contractors, In-House and Major Project team.

This is done to ensure that technical integrity is maintained at a highest standard aligned with Idd El-Shargi requirements in accordance with QatarEnergy Standards and Shell DEP’s.

Required Experience And Skills

• Minimum 10 years of experience in oil and gas offshore/ onshore industry both brownfield and greenfield in project execution including construction, commissioning, operation, maintenance, and field troubleshooting.
• Well conversant with engineering software such as PvElite, CodeCal, Compress, NozzlePro & Caesar II and Microsoft applications. Well conversant with international codes and standards.
• A good team player and shall have a good presentation, communication, and written skills. Interpersonal ability to work in multi-disciplinary team. Aptitude for taking initiative.
• Able to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
• Working knowledge of company business processes and regulatory requirements.
• Able to manage and measure work using appropriate metrics and key performance indicators.
  
  

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. A chartered engineer is preferred.
