Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Overview:

UNII consultant, a leading name in the construction and design sector in Qatar, is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering department. This role is essential for designing, developing, and enhancing mechanical systems and components in our projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles and a track record of innovation in construction-related mechanical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

· Design and develop mechanical systems for construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other mechanical services.

· Utilize CAD software for designing mechanical components and systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.

Project Coordination:

· Collaborate with project teams, including architects, civil engineers, and electrical engineers, to integrate mechanical systems into overall project designs.

Analysis and Problem-Solving:

· Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications for mechanical systems.

· Identify and troubleshoot design issues, providing innovative solutions to ensure project objectives are met.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

· Ensure all mechanical engineering projects comply with applicable codes, standards, and best practices.

· Oversee the installation and commissioning of mechanical systems, conducting quality assurance checks to ensure operational efficiency.

Documentation and Reporting:

· Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design files, calculations, and reports.

· Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders on the status of mechanical engineering activities.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (7 to 10 years experience).

· Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the construction or design industry, with a focus on HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

· Strong proficiency in CAD, REVIT software and engineering design tools.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

· Familiarity with construction industry standards, codes, and safety practices.

· UPDA Certificate

· ASHGHAL/KAHRAMA projects experience (Preferred)

· Aiport projects experience is plus
