Sr MECHANICAL Engineer (PIPING & EQUIPMENT ERECTION)

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Superintendent (Piping & Equipment Erection) to join our team for a prestigious LNG project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale mechanical construction works, with proven leadership in piping and equipment erection activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage all piping and equipment erection activities at the project site.
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily and weekly execution programs in line with project timelines.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work procedures.
- Ensure proper allocation of manpower, equipment, and materials to meet site progress targets.
- Monitor workfront availability, resolve site issues, and ensure smooth execution.
- Coordinate closely with QA/QC, HSE, Construction, and Commissioning teams.
- Ensure strict compliance with project safety standards, quality requirements, and client specifications.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure works are executed as per approved procedures and drawings.
- Provide technical guidance to supervisors and foremen to resolve construction-related challenges.
- Prepare daily progress reports, manpower summaries, and construction status updates.
- Support and participate in mechanical completion and handover activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Oil & Gas / LNG / Petrochemical projects.
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role handling piping and equipment erection.
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, static & rotating equipment, erection methodologies, and alignment procedures.
- Familiar with project planning, workfront management, and resource control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
