Sr MECHANICAL Engineer (PIPING & EQUIPMENT ERECTION)

Location: RLIC
Duration: 6 Months (Extendable)
Project: LNG Project

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Superintendent (Piping & Equipment Erection) to join our team for a prestigious LNG project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale mechanical construction works, with proven leadership in piping and equipment erection activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage all piping and equipment erection activities at the project site.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily and weekly execution programs in line with project timelines.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work procedures.
  • Ensure proper allocation of manpower, equipment, and materials to meet site progress targets.
  • Monitor workfront availability, resolve site issues, and ensure smooth execution.
  • Coordinate closely with QA/QC, HSE, Construction, and Commissioning teams.
  • Ensure strict compliance with project safety standards, quality requirements, and client specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure works are executed as per approved procedures and drawings.
  • Provide technical guidance to supervisors and foremen to resolve construction-related challenges.
  • Prepare daily progress reports, manpower summaries, and construction status updates.
  • Support and participate in mechanical completion and handover activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Oil & Gas / LNG / Petrochemical projects.
  • Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or superintendent role handling piping and equipment erection.
  • Strong knowledge of piping systems, static & rotating equipment, erection methodologies, and alignment procedures.
  • Familiar with project planning, workfront management, and resource control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.

  • Work Schedule: 10 Hours/Day, 6 Days/Week
