Job Title: Senior Merchandiser (Product Development & Production)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Merchandiser to lead and manage both Product Development (PD) and Production functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in apparel merchandising, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams including design, sourcing, and manufacturing. This role requires strong attention to detail, timelines, and quality control from development through to final shipment.

Key Responsibilities:Product Development (PD):

• Collaborate with design and buyers to understand product requirements and seasonal direction.
• Develop product collections from concept to final prototype, ensuring feasibility in terms of cost, quality, and production timelines.
• Source materials, trims, and suppliers aligned with product requirements and cost targets.
• Prepare and manage tech packs, costing sheets, and development timelines.
• Conduct sample reviews and coordinate approvals with buyers and quality teams.
• Monitor and manage the critical path to ensure timely development and approvals.

Production:

• Plan and manage the entire production cycle, ensuring timely delivery and quality compliance.
• Communicate with vendors, factories, and internal teams to manage order placements, capacity booking, and production schedules.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, compliance requirements, and delivery deadlines.
• Monitor production progress and proactively address delays, risks, or bottlenecks.
• Conduct or coordinate inline and final inspections with QA teams as needed.
• Manage shipment documentation and ensure on-time dispatch to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Textiles, Apparel Merchandising, or related field.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in merchandising, with hands-on exposure to both product development and production processes.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, costing, and supply chain management.
• Experience working with international buyers and vendors (e.g., US, EU, UK markets).
• Proficient in MS Office, PLM systems, and production tracking tools.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in sustainable sourcing and eco-friendly materials.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
