The Manager, Industry Engagement will support the execution of PMI’s national and state-level advocacy strategies by building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including trade associations, policymakers, and industry partners. This role will collaborate closely with External Affairs, regional sales teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on advocacy efforts and enterprise goals. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong communication skills and a passion for public affairs and stakeholder engagement.
Your ‘day to day’:

Support the execution of national and regional trade association strategies.

Represent PMI at industry events, association meetings, and stakeholder engagements.

Develop and deliver legislative and regulatory briefings to internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborate with regional sales leadership to align advocacy efforts with business objectives.

Assist in the creation of advocacy materials, presentations, and stakeholder communications.

Monitor and report on legislative and regulatory developments impacting the business.

Coordinate with regional directors to support state-level activations and campaigns.

Track and manage budgets related to association memberships and event sponsorships.

Evaluate the ROI of advocacy initiatives and recommend improvements.

Travel Requirement: This position requires travel approximately 50% to 75% of the time, including attendance at industry events, association meetings, and stakeholder engagements across various regions.

This role will report to the Senior Manager, Industry Engagement.
Who we’re looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs, Political Science, Business, or related field.

3+ years experience in consumer product goods industry, preferable in tobacco industry.

Relevant experience in government affairs, public policy, industry relations, or a related field.

Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes at the state and federal levels.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation.

Proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with external stakeholders.

Experience working with trade associations and advocacy organizations.

Strong project management and organizational skills.
-
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
Annual Base Salary Range: $156,750-$209,000
