Job Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Management: Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN network infrastructure for parking facilities, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- System Integration: Connect parking access control systems, CCTV cameras, gate barriers, and Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) systems to the main network.
- Network Monitoring: Monitor system performance to ensure 24/7 uptime and high reliability, preventing revenue losses due to system downtime.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues, often requiring on-site support for faulty equipment (e.g., card readers, ticket machines).
- Security & Compliance: Implement cybersecurity measures, such as firewalls and VPNs, to protect sensitive payment data and ensure compliance.
- Vendor Coordination: Liaise with third-party service providers for network hardware/software support and maintenance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Networking Fundamentals: Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Hardware Expertise: Experience with switches, routers, firewalls, and Wireless Access Points (WAPs).
- Technical Troubleshooting: Expertise in network diagnostic tools and troubleshooting software/hardware problems.
- Experience Level: Typically 3+ years of experience in network engineering, with preference for those with experience in IoT or security systems.
- Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or similar certifications are highly preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
