Sr. Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead and oversee all operational activities related to interior fit-out projects across multiple sites. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate will bring 15–20 years of experience in the interior fit-out and construction industry, with a strong background in managing large teams, complex project portfolios, and multi-site operations. This role requires a leader who can balance operational control, manpower optimization, commercial awareness, and client coordination at a senior level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Leadership

  • Lead and manage end-to-end interior fit-out operations from project mobilization to final handover.
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and performance standards.
  • Establish and implement operational strategies, procedures, and best practices for project execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency, productivity, and delivery standards.

Project Oversight & Execution

  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Monitor overall site progress and provide direction to project managers and site teams to resolve delays or risks.
  • Oversee resource planning including manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Support tender and pre-construction teams with operational input, scheduling, and resource forecasting.

Manpower & Resource Management

  • Plan, allocate, and optimize manpower utilization across multiple projects.
  • Ensure the right mix of project managers, engineers, supervisors, and skilled workers is deployed.
  • Monitor workforce productivity and implement improvements where needed.
  • Lead workforce planning aligned with project pipeline and company growth.
  • Oversee and coordinate store/warehouse operations, employee camp management, and logistics & transportation functions

Financial & Commercial Control

  • Track and control operational and manpower-related project costs.
  • Work closely with commercial and finance teams to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
  • Identify areas for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and value engineering.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain strong coordination with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal departments.
  • Attend high-level project meetings and provide operational updates and solutions.
  • Ensure smooth collaboration between design, procurement, planning, and site teams.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all projects strictly adhere to Health & Safety policies, company procedures, and local regulations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all sites and operational teams.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, authority requirements, and contractual obligations.

Team Development & Leadership

  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performance operations team.
  • Conduct performance reviews of project managers and key operational staff.
  • Support training and professional development initiatives for site and operations teams.
  • Foster accountability, discipline, and teamwork across all project sites.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 15–20 years of experience in the interior fit-out and construction industry (mandatory).
  • At east 8–10 years in a senior operations or multi-project management leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing multiple large-scale interior fit-out projects simultaneously.
  • Strong background working with fit-out contractors in commercial, retail, hospitality, or mixed-use developments.
  • GCC experience is highly preferred.

Technical & Operational Skills

  • Strong understanding of interior fit-out, joinery & MEP construction methods, sequencing, and site logistics.
  • Expertise in manpower planning, site operations management, and project resource control.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, project schedules, and cost reports.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project management/reporting tools.
  • Proficient in MS projects & Primavera soft wares & programing skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: QAR20,000.00 - QAR30,000.00 per month

  • Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

  • Middle East / GCC countries: 7 years (Preferred)
  • managing multiple large-scale interior fit-out projects: 8 years (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 75% (Preferred)
