Sr. Planning Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of engineering projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with industry standards. This position requires a strong background in civil engineering and project management, with proficiency in various engineering software tools.

Duties

• Develop and maintain project schedules using advanced project scheduling techniques.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scopes and objectives.
• Utilize software such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and ArcGIS for drafting and design tasks.
• Conduct construction estimating and prepare detailed schematics for projects.
• Perform geotechnical engineering assessments and hydraulic modeling for water treatment and wastewater treatment projects.
• Oversee construction inspection processes to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Engage in technical writing for project documentation, reports, and proposals.
• Apply GIS technology to analyze spatial data relevant to project planning.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Utilize Mathcad and SWMM for calculations related to system design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is required.
• Proven experience in construction management or project engineering is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices, regulations, and safety standards.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) is essential; familiarity with HEC is advantageous.
• Experience with technical writing and drafting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with pipeline systems, land surveying techniques, and mechanical engineering principles is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong foundation in mathematics and hydraulics.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
