Position Summary:
Responsible for designing and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our applications and services. The Sr Platform Engineer leads efforts to build scalable, secure, and resilient systems, while streamlining deployment pipelines and improving developer workflows. Work spans cloud architecture, automation, observability, and performance tuning—ensuring our platforms run smoothly and efficiently. Role collaborates across engineering teams to drive best practices, mentor peers, and continuously evolve our platform capabilities to meet growing business demands.
Responsibilities:

Designs and maintains cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) to support mortgage origination, servicing, and loan processing applications.

Develops and optimizes CI/CD pipelines to accelerate delivery of mortgage technology solutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory and security requirements.

Builds and enhances internal platforms and tools that improve developer productivity, system observability, and integration with mortgage industry platforms (e.g., LOS, CRM, compliance systems).

Partners with application developers, SREs, and security teams to deliver highly available, compliant, and resilient mortgage technology solutions.

Leads infrastructure automation initiatives using Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible to ensure scalability and consistency across lending platforms.

Monitors and troubleshoots performance issues in distributed systems supporting loan origination, underwriting, and servicing platforms.

Mentors junior engineers and promotes best practices in platform engineering and DevSecOps within the mortgage IT team.

Evaluates emerging technologies and recommends adoption strategies to strengthen mortgage technology infrastructure and ensure long-term scalability.
Requirements:

Minimum five (5) + years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering.

Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).

Strong programming skills in languages like PowerShell, Bicep, Terraform, Python, Go, or Bash.

Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools.

Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).

Solid understanding of networking, security, and distributed systems.

Proven ability to lead initiatives and drive technical decisions.

Experience in the Mortgage industry preferred/required.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is between $138,000 and $190,500. Your base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors, including your job-related knowledge/skills, qualifications, experience, and market location.
